David and Patti were married at Cambria Pines Lodge in Cambria this last weekend. I love weddings where you can see the couple’s personality in the small details of the day. For instance, David made all of the table decorations out of wood as well as the name plates and cake ornament. And during the ceremony, a passage from Velveteen Rabbit was read that absolutely fit the moment. David and Patti stepped away from the traditional a bit, but not with total disregard for the parts and pieces they wanted to incorporate into their wedding day.
I am absolutely thrilled to have been a part of David and Patti’s day. Their wedding was unique, completely romantic and got straight to the core of the commitment being made by these two wonderful people.
I want to share a moment that I will not soon forget. During the reception, David and Patti slipped out and I found them dancing in a darkened room. They were having their own private first dance and it was as romantic as you can imagine. I snapped a couple of flash free shots and left them, so as not to disturb their private moment.
