Victoria and John – Wedding

Victoria and John were married last weekend at the San Luis Obispo Country Club. We started at the Cliffs Resort where everyone got ready for the day. Then we headed to a gorgeous bluff that overlooks Shell Beach where we did some pre-wedding photos. Victoria and John’s ceremony took place at St. Paul Catholic Church in Pismo. After the ceremony we headed out to the San Luis Obispo Country Club for their reception.

I really enjoy San Luis Obispo Country Club weddings as the light is gorgeous each evening and if you ask nicely, Bill (the manager) will give you as many golf carts as you want for cruising all over the course looking for cool photo spots (or for racing around as fast as possible). We ended up needing at least 6 or 7 because there were so many of us and our ride quickly turned into a little race from green to green. Sweet!

Victoria and John are a wonderful couple. John is a farmer and Victoria is a teacher. Victoria has a sweet daughter, Makenan (Sorry, Mekenan, if I have destroyed the spelling of your name!). I was impressed with all the dance music lyrics she knew (she had the mic for most of the night and was totally tearing it up!). I first met the three of them last year when we did their engagement shoot in San Luis Obispo. Mekenan, Victoria, John and I had a great time heading out into the fields around San Luis Obispo. Even then, it was obvious that these three had special bond. I applaud them for creating such a wonderful little family. Maybe I’m more sensitive to the family bond now that Payton is getting older and Michelle, Payton and I tend to spend more time together as a family unit. I don’t know. Either way, these three are on their way to a terrific life and I can’t wait to hear how they are doing in the future.
