Last week I handed Payton a carrot and he said, “go away bug!” Today, I was sitting at my computer and he said, “Payton eat bug!” I’m thinking Payton is about due to try some carrots again.

This is one of the last weekends I have off until late October so, we are headed out to see my parents. My Mom has been pretty sick the last few years fighting cancer and is currently in the middle of a 9 month round of chemo which is keeping her house-bound and often restless. Michelle and I will be bring our bikes and plan on doing a really cool ride up in the Sierras (HERE) on Saturday. I can’t wait!

Polaroid Land Camera – Automatic 100.

I picked up this old Polaroid Land Camera a couple of weeks ago. I’ve had a lot of fun making instant prints with Fuji’s FP-3000B black and white film. This camera is really hard to operate! It requires that I slow down and move at a snails pace to get the shots. With this said, when I do nail a shot, the instant film is full of wonderful tones and tons of detail!

Ramblings: Easter film and Flickr.

Last week was Easter. Payton, Michelle and I headed over to Meadow Park in San Luis Obispo for the annual Easter Egg Hunt. Payton is really getting good at this whole “egg collecting thing.” Last year (we practiced in our back yard: HERE) he didn’t really understand what was going on. I guess the practice paid off though, because this year, he was basically a pro egg collector.

A lot of my family pictures are with a little camera called the LOMO LC-A+ which was first created in St. Petersburg in 1984. The prints that come out are super colorful and full of brilliant detail. The Ilford 100 B&W film below is an example of the fun you can have with this little pocket camera.

I tend to only post wedding shots on the Blog but, I wanted to point out that I also have a secret website (Flickr) where a little bit of everything goes: HERE. If you are at all interested in photography, I suggest you get a Flickr account as this is a wonderful (free) way to share images with your family and friends. Alright, I’m off to an engagement shoot and it is looks like we may have a rainy adventure ahead of us. Sweet!
