Really though, I’m most proud that I was the one trusted with the task of documenting and making art on one of the most important days in a couple’s life. My bio blurb says that, “I am thrilled to be a part of each couple’s wedding day as they make the commitment to be together for the rest of their lives.” An even more true statement is that I am honored to not only witness, but to be trusted with the responsibility of capturing the special moments that happen during their wedding day.

In general, I continue to gain a greater appreciation of marriage and what it means to stay happily married. As Michelle and I get farther away from our wedding day, my tendency towards the nostalgic seems to be more dominant. I’m very excited for our future and can’t believe how fortunate we have been in our personal and professional lives. And at the same time, I really do appreciate the obstacles, opportunities and required paths we have taken to get us to where we are now.

I am excited for Emily and Jimmy as they are in for an incredible adventure. Best wishes to you both!

“Tiber Canyon Ranch is situated on 50 acres of oak and manzanita woodland nestled in the hills between the Pacific Ocean and the Edna Valley wine growing region of San Luis Obispo county. According to local legend, about 10 acres of the ranch were cleared during WWI and planted in apricots. When we came to the ranch, only five of the ancient, gnarled trees were still hanging on. Now, where their companions once stood, we grow ten different varietals of Northern Italian olive trees.

Our olive grove is maintained using sustainable farming practices. We use no petrochemical fertilizers or pesticides, and we use no herbicides. Even though this often seems to be the hard way to grow olives, we are dedicated to maintaining these methods for both our well being and that of future generations.

About 30 acres of the ranch remains untouched as a woodland wildlife preserve. This diverse habitat is home to deer, foxes, bob cats, coyotes, raccoons, the occasional cougar, myriad birds and many more. The flora includes coast live oak, Edna manzanita, toyon, hummingbird sage and mountain mahogany, to name just a few.” (www.tiburcanyon.com)

I love photographing Tiber Canyon Ranch weddings as the venue is simply outstanding!

Emily and Jimmy were incredibly easy to photograph. Jimmy is a baseball player (voted MVP last year for his entire league) and Emily helps run the family business. These two are completely in love and were a joy to spend time with. I can’t wait for their wedding later this year!
