San Luis Obispo Wedding Photographer

The last 90 days have been an absolute blessing. I have had the pleasure of photographing amazing couples in some of the most beautiful venues in the world. I am truly blessed and can’t wait for the up and coming winter wedding season. I put together a little slide show of some of my favorite images taken over the last couple of months. Thank you to all my wonderful couples who make my job a joy each and every weekend.

Sarah and Robert

Santa Barbara wedding photographers, Bluephoto captures Sara and Robert’s engagement pictures in downtown Santa Barbara. We sprinted to the Santa Barbara beach to keep from missing the golden light. Santa Barbara is a wonderful location for all types of photography.

Danielle and James

Vina Robles wedding photographers love creating images at this amazing winery wedding location. Danielle and James had a wonderful winery wedding in Paso Robles, California. We were blessed with blue skies and a cool breeze. This was a truly amazing wedding.

Mindy and Adam

Mindy and Adam had a wonderful San Luis Obispo wedding at the Botanical Garden. I have never shot a wedding at the Gardens before and was thrilled to do so last weekend. The Gardens has wonderful light during the afternoon and sits nestled in next to a golden hillside (my favorite!). We started off in Cayucos where Mindy got dressed and ready to go. We then headed out, mid day, to the San Luis Obispo Botanical Gardens for the ceremony and reception. The reception included tons of dancing spurred on by the lovely Melissa from Kramer Entertainment. Melissa played an awesome collection of music that had the entire room dancing for 2 straight hours! I can’t say enough about Melissa and I highly suggest you give her a call. After the toasts and first dance, we sprinted up a hill to catch the last few rays of golden light as the fog rolled in through the valley. Mindy and Adam’s wedding was a great success and I can’t wait to hear what they are up to in the future.

Jasmine and Morgan

Jasmine and Morgan will be married this year up in Cambria. They are having a beach ceremony and then heading over to Cambria Pines Lodge for their reception. Jasmine booked me for their wedding a while ago and we didn’t have a chance to meet until this weekend for their engagement shoot. It was great to finally meet in person because we have been friends on Facebook for a while. Because of our interaction online, I felt like I was hanging out with friends I’ve known for a long time. Very cool.

Morgan and Jasmine have been together since High School. They are incredibly comfortable with each other and share a bond that comes from living a portion of your life together and going through many of the same experiences. I love photographing best friends. These two are truly wonderful people and I really enjoyed our evening wandering around San Luis Obispo looking for gorgeous light.

Carolyn and Kevin

Carolyn and Kevin had a wonderful destination wedding right here in San Luis Obispo. I was one of the only locals present for the festivities! Their ceremony was held at the Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church off of Grand Ave. After the ceremony, we all headed up to Castoro Winery in Paso Robles. This time of year is simply amazing in Paso as the sun sets late at night and the light becomes incredibly vibrant shooting color across the horizon. Last Saturday didn’t disappoint as the weather was warm during the day but, Carolyn and Kevin chose to start the festivities late in the evening when everything was cooling off.

Karlie and Travis

Karlie and Travis had an amazing Fess Parker Winery Wedding in Los Olivos, California. Los Olivos is located about an hour north of Santa Barbara and an hour south of San Luis Obispo. The winery has a huge yard and plenty of vineyards with gorgeous evening light. The vineyards are spotted with 100 year old oaks which make for a perfect setting. Karlie has an obvious tendency towards the 50’s which was evident in a lot of the small details that went into her wedding day. Karlie’s post modern approach towards the girls’ hair, dresses was mixed very well with a contemporary dark color pallet. I loved shooting this wedding as everywhere I turned there was another colorful item or special moment to capture. Karlie and Travis inspired me with their instructions that consisted of, “we trust you – just do your thing!”

Katie and Tim

Tim and Katie will be having their Santa Barbara wedding this summer. Their San Luis Obispo engagement shoot was right around the time of hay harvest. There are so many fields with hay bales in them right now a photographer can’t help but take advantage. Both Katie and Tim had a lot of fun exploring the surrounding towns such as Cambria and the Cambria Pines Lodge along with Spanish Oaks Ranch as well as the San Luis Obispo Mission all of which are wonderful places to get married. If you are looking to find a Santa Barbara wedding venues then you should definitely check out the Santa Barbara Mission as well as Fess Parker Winery, Cabrillo Arts Center, The Biltmore, The Bacara Resort, Barbara County Courthouse Sunken Garden, The Ojai Valley Inn and Parkers Wine Country Inn and Spa, Firestone Vineyard, Four Seasons Biltmore, Gainey Vineyard, Montecito Country Club, Moody Estate and the Arbor at Twin Peaks Ranch.
