Lauren and Anthony

Lauren and Anthony were photographed by Fresno wedding photographer, Bluephoto. Their engagement shoot was a wonderful adventure around San Luis Obispo, Avila and the surrounding foothills. Lauren and Anthony will be married next year and this Fresno wedding photographers cannot wait for the party!

Mindy and Adam

Mindy and Adam had a wonderful San Luis Obispo wedding at the Botanical Garden. I have never shot a wedding at the Gardens before and was thrilled to do so last weekend. The Gardens has wonderful light during the afternoon and sits nestled in next to a golden hillside (my favorite!). We started off in Cayucos where Mindy got dressed and ready to go. We then headed out, mid day, to the San Luis Obispo Botanical Gardens for the ceremony and reception. The reception included tons of dancing spurred on by the lovely Melissa from Kramer Entertainment. Melissa played an awesome collection of music that had the entire room dancing for 2 straight hours! I can’t say enough about Melissa and I highly suggest you give her a call. After the toasts and first dance, we sprinted up a hill to catch the last few rays of golden light as the fog rolled in through the valley. Mindy and Adam’s wedding was a great success and I can’t wait to hear what they are up to in the future.

Lauren and Anthony

Lauren and Anthony’s Fresno wedding photographers engagement shoot was simply magical. Fresno wedding photographer, Jonathan Roberts had a ton of fun doing this engagement session.

Finao Album

This is another wonderful handmade Finao album. Finao created an 11×14 inch, horizontal promo album from Karlie and Travis’ wedding images. The material has a leather feel and the heft of the album is significant. I can’t wait to show this one off! You can view Karlie and Travis’, Fess Parker Winery wedding images HERE.

Mindy and Adam

We did Mindy and Adam’s engagement shoot yesterday. There wedding is this weekend and we just hadn’t been able to schedule the engagement session any sooner. Its great that they took time out of their busy week of preparations to go out and take some shots. We had a great time finding new places in San Luis Obispo to shoot. The sunsets this time of year are terrific and Mindy was really wanting some golden straw/field shots so, we headed out towards the end of our session for that exact type of image. I can’t wait for the wedding this weekend as Mindy wants “lots of fisheye stuff” – Suweeeeeeeeeet!

Jasmine and Morgan

Jasmine and Morgan will be married this year up in Cambria. They are having a beach ceremony and then heading over to Cambria Pines Lodge for their reception. Jasmine booked me for their wedding a while ago and we didn’t have a chance to meet until this weekend for their engagement shoot. It was great to finally meet in person because we have been friends on Facebook for a while. Because of our interaction online, I felt like I was hanging out with friends I’ve known for a long time. Very cool.

Morgan and Jasmine have been together since High School. They are incredibly comfortable with each other and share a bond that comes from living a portion of your life together and going through many of the same experiences. I love photographing best friends. These two are truly wonderful people and I really enjoyed our evening wandering around San Luis Obispo looking for gorgeous light.

Carolyn and Kevin

Carolyn and Kevin had a wonderful destination wedding right here in San Luis Obispo. I was one of the only locals present for the festivities! Their ceremony was held at the Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church off of Grand Ave. After the ceremony, we all headed up to Castoro Winery in Paso Robles. This time of year is simply amazing in Paso as the sun sets late at night and the light becomes incredibly vibrant shooting color across the horizon. Last Saturday didn’t disappoint as the weather was warm during the day but, Carolyn and Kevin chose to start the festivities late in the evening when everything was cooling off.

Karlie and Travis

Karlie and Travis had an amazing Fess Parker Winery Wedding in Los Olivos, California. Los Olivos is located about an hour north of Santa Barbara and an hour south of San Luis Obispo. The winery has a huge yard and plenty of vineyards with gorgeous evening light. The vineyards are spotted with 100 year old oaks which make for a perfect setting. Karlie has an obvious tendency towards the 50’s which was evident in a lot of the small details that went into her wedding day. Karlie’s post modern approach towards the girls’ hair, dresses was mixed very well with a contemporary dark color pallet. I loved shooting this wedding as everywhere I turned there was another colorful item or special moment to capture. Karlie and Travis inspired me with their instructions that consisted of, “we trust you – just do your thing!”
