Bluephoto, San Luis Obispo Wedding Photographer | Santa Barbara bio picture

Hi, I'm Jonathan Roberts and I started Bluephoto 6 years ago. I've shot over 250 weddings and have loved every minute of it *(almost every minute....the naked reception guy freaked me out...and there was the crazy dog that bit Michael, the groom...)!

And a little about me:

I am living my dream. Not too many people can say that. I have the cutest wife ever. Michelle never stops smiling and she is simply a joy to wake up to each day. I am incredibly thankful for our happy little boy who spends way more time giggling than crying, a wife who is the love of my life and a job I look forward to each day. Marriage for me has been a dream come true and I am thrilled to be a part of each couple's wedding day as they make the commitment to be together for the rest of their lives.

And to be a little less sappy - I also love wine, cooking, cyclingnews.com, figuring out near impossible lighting setups, single speed mountain bikes, chips and salsa, brie with crackers and caramelized onions, the perfect margarita with just a touch of salt, and knowing when I click the shutter that I captured a perfect moment.

Shoot me an email or give me a call we'll figure out a time to grab a cup of coffee.

Amy and Ross held their wedding at the Mitchell Katz Winery, Palm Event Center in Pleasanton, California this last weekend. The classic...

In the end, it’s not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away.” – Shing Xiong

Michelle, Payton and I are heading down to Belize in a couple of weeks for a little off-wedding-season vacation. I am totally looking forward to a break before my first 2010 wedding at the end of January. With the official end of my 2009 photography year, I’ve been thinking a lot about how incredible this...

Alexis and Ian

When Alexis came to me about photographing her wedding, I was completely honored. You see, Alexis is the wedding coordinator for the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo, California. She has had the opportunity to work closely with a ton of wonderful wedding photographers. Because of this, I was very grateful to be the one chosen to capture her day. Alexis and Ian’s ceremony was held at La Perla Del Mar chapel in Shell Beach. From there, we all headed up to the Madonna Inn Expo Center where, by my count, there were approximately 200 people in attendance.

Kerry and Jan

Kerry and Jan had a very romantic wedding at a gorgeous estate with a grand view and beautiful green pastures all around. The soft colors pastels were everywhere from the cake to the table settings and centerpieces. Around the property, horses were as abundant as the sun splashing its rays across the green grass, through the dried brush and scattering amongst the oaks. Jan is in love with his wife. Kerry is in awe of her man. These two sought out a partner, found each other and haven’t let go since. There was a classic elegance running through the evening and touching every part of this wedding celebration. I am honored to have been present to capture their day. Kerry and Jan, I hope all of your dreams come true.
