About half of my weddings each year are in San Luis Obispo County. There is an events ordinance on the horizon that could inhibit some of the gorgeous locations that hold weddings from being able to do so. If you work weddings on the Central Coast or have any interest in the subject, I highly suggest you educate yourself on the proposed events ordinance. Also, I would like to bring to your attention CABO, “the Coalition of Affected Business Owners (“CABO”) is a non-partisan group of business owners, managers, and employees of both event-related and indirectly affected businesses that oppose San Luis Obispo County’s proposed Events Ordinance, which would in effect eliminate the ability to hold weddings and non-agricultural special events on agricultural land.” You can read more at CABO’s events ordinance website, HERE.
