SeaVenture Resort hosts approximately 40 intimate destination weddings a year in Pismo Beach, California. SeaVenture Resort destination wedding venue is perfectly placed on the beach just south of San Luis Obispo and an hour north of Santa Barbara. I have shot numerous weddings here throughout the years and am blown away by the results. Lauren, the coordinator in charge at SeaVenture, does and amazing job of organizing and making sure that each couple has exactly what they need to make their destination wedding perfect!
A few weeks ago, Lauren asked that I come down and photograph the new arches they recently built. As you can see from the images, they have a stained wood set and a lovely all white setup. Either one can be used depending on each couples preference. I am very impressed by this central coast wedding venue and was more than happy to come down and take some shots of the new arches. On the day we were scheduled to shoot, an evening fog set in at the beach. During the summer there is a 50/50 chance of evening fog, but we were ready to shoot and the arrangements had been made with Jenny McNiece for the creation of the floral displays *(Jenny is an amazing wedding florist. I highly suggest you check her out: HERE). So, we made do and ended up with some very cool shots of the mist, beach, resort, floral designs, arches and wedding site. Michelle (my lovely assistant/wife) and I ended up having a lot of fun playing around with different lighting techniques and spending time together before our date-night dinner at Novo in San Luis Obispo. In the end, I am pleased with the images and am just as impressed with SeaVenture as I have always been. SeaVenture is a wonderful place for every bride considering a destination wedding or Pismo Beach wedding. *(Check out the slideshow for more images).
