As Heather walked down the grassy aisle behind the yellow ranch house, I saw her gaze connect with Kyle’s. As their eyes met, her face turned from nervous anticipation towards beaming excitement. Seeing her face change gave me a chill as I continued to take pictures. When she took Kyle’s hands, she exhaled deeply and her expression again changed to a look of contentment, as though she had found her way home after a long absence.
As they stood together making their promises, gusts swirled through, toppling floral arrangements, table settings and sending the windmills into a screaming frenzy. No one cared, least of all Heather and Kyle for this day was their day to come together in front of their closest friends and say to each other, “I do!”
